Jaystar is a ginger-coloured and white tomcat with folded ears and green eyes. He is the son of Boulderclaw and Claudia, and is the leader of SwiftClan, as well as a current trainee in the Dark Forest. His brothers are Birchpaw, Pheasant and Franklin, and his half sibling is Link.

Health

Physically, Jaystar is well rounded and shaped well. He is a rather small cat and compared to most, he does seem to never reach their height. His youthful age and care for himself gives him an advantage in his physical health compared to other cats. He has a slick, 'scrawny' body that is especially tight around the chest and legs, although it does limit him muscle-wise, although this does not limit him much. His thin muscles do not stop him from winning fights or dominating with an iron paw due to his often sly movements. His slick figure does provide him with a lenient way to move through small spaces and run with a greater speed then bulkier cats. His fur is dense and thick, not loose, making it look messy, but it does help him out in the snow and chilling winds, as moister or wind in general has a hard time getting through without sitting there for long periods of time. His appetite is normally shaped and evenly balanced, though it doesn't often show up on him, and his immune system is rather weak and due to this, the tom catches illnesses very easily unfortunately.

Mentally, Jaystar can be described to be not as stable within this category, although his over-all dememer and way he usually interrupts and shows things usually proves otherwise. Usually, Jaystar is one of the best cats to hide his feelings and how he actually thinks about things, and often times he will push things off and make sarcastic comments about any shred of care. His own emotional connection to others can be difficult to see and often times he is described to have no such thing, although he does truely care and does seem to want to have friends or emotional connects with others despite his rough, 'island-like' personality. Described as being lonely and unable to express himself like everyone else.

Character

Jaystar is described to be a blunt, sarcastic, cynical typed cat with an 'unlimited' and rich personality that can be difficult to figure out at first meeting, being he claims himself to be a 'gentleman', even though this being a far-fetched title for himself due to formerly being a delinquent. His over-all bitter and resentful personality often brings him to scorn and ridicule others easily and often, giving him a villainous look to others, even though this is not true. He is said to have an oozing sarcasm that does not limit him to just words within his area. He seems to pick up words all around like 'idiot' or 'mouse-brain', but sometimes he tends to use words that are even unknown to others, and because of this some cats could be confused by his large vocabulary of foul words. Not only sarcastic, he tends to result in rough words and speech, with sharp insults and often times blunt statements he does not feel the need to think over. His bluntness can range from short ended insults to full out confessions he does not care to share with others, like telling them everything that is wrong with them.

He tends to be very blunt about what he says and he doesn't really give much towards if others will be upset or not. He tends to be totally one hundred percent honest the entire time he was giving, for instance, criticism he doesn't consider if it may hurt the others feelings, he just goes along and gives his two cents even if nobody wants to hear it. He tends to give his opinion no matter the situation or even if it's the right time or not. This can also make him also infuriate many others opinion at times, but he doesn't seem to mind this notion.

In itself, he is also seen as obstinate in many cases. He is not the type of cat to change his opinions often and it does take an incredible amount of effort to ever convince him of anything otherwise. His opinions and beliefs are stuck firmly in place and he would fight others about them even if the others idea may make more sense. The others idea would have to make much more sense to convince him, and even then he may be stubborn and stick to it. He also will be the first to rub them in when finding them out.

He is shown to be cynical at the very best, being he often acts for himself and distrusts others opinions or words in general. He is seen to be the first cat to object to everyone's ideas and opinions, feeling his own are far better and more tactical, although not always being true. He defiantly is the first to ridicule the stupid ideas, and point out everything wrong with it, before moving onto his own. When Jaystorm is not around, most cats would say 'I can finally be right for a change!' because of his very judgmental and scathing criticism, as he tends to judge others harshly and without common mercy or sense for that matter of sparing the other cat's feelings. He also seems to enjoy giving criticism and ridiculing others, especially those he doesn't like.

He seemingly is very nostalgic at times and does yearn for the past from time to time. Jaystar is quite reminiscent especially when he thinks about how his past went, and wishes dearly he could just go back to those times once in awhile. He also is seemingly called the 'king of loosing things' due to his loss of so many things that he'd built up in life, and this is true to a point.

Although he may be rude to many others that he dislikes or that are flat out annoying, he does have a soft spot for the younger generation such as kittens or innocent creatures. He may not seem like it, but he can be quite friendly to kittens and does deep within himself desire for kittens of himself. He enjoys to play with the nursery kittens when he offers to help them out, and alike how his personality changes when he is with someone he loves, it also tolerates kittens and their innocent behaviors.

Going off of his love for the younger generation, he does have high hopes for those who train them and the kittens themselves. He puts their safety and training above many other things in a clan, and when he is confronted with something involving apprentices, he becomes even more strict about such things and he does not waiver on his decisions when the cat is training the apprentice wrong or in an innaporipiret way. He thinks great consideration should be taken into choosing mentors and does not approve of 'giving experience' to unexperienced warriors who he knows cannot handle an apprentice because they may be too immature or stressed in themselves.

He is very prideful and loves to boast about things he's achieved and rub them into his rivals faces at any given point. He likes to act 'dignified' and be called a gentlecat, especially after his violent phase. He likes to forget this ever happened and move along with his life, now instead of being an ambitious jerk he lets his properness rule his personality. This comes out in how he acts and behaves, including how he will call rough-housing undignified as well as talking while chewing or stuffing one's face with food. His manners are defined and probably more complex then any average cat's, and he finds this important especially with others around. He can be quite the oppose when others aren't around though, but he still does try to pull it off when others aren't around.

Jaystar can also be said to have a large courage. He is 'rarely afraid of anything' and would challenge many problems head first, but still would not rush into things and would rationalise it out above just tackling the problem head on. His rational behavior also makes him seem more afraid than he actually is, but many things he would go into with little to no fear other than looking stupid and killing himself.

He is very logical and thinks rationally about situations. He may be courageous like said above, but he does have a logical point of view and unlike cats such as Snakestorm, his courage doesn't lead him to do dumb acts or stunts that may lead to his own intimate demise or embarrassment. He thinks things through rationally and doesn't jump into things unless rationally thought out plans are made through him.

He also, with his dignified nature, is also very mature and will like said above, have a rationalised thought of everything. He will usually be the first to call out other if they are being immature or ignorant about something, like for instance if Frostrose were to start talking at a clan meeting. He switches to mature and it is usually startling to see how mature the tomcat can actually be about things and situations. He can be seen usually scolding immature cats around him or shushing them if they disrupt something, which brings on his more dignified side that shines through him.

He may seem dignified at times, but deep within his own being he is quite punk-like. He can enjoy things that are rambunctious and is attracted to loud and obnoxious things from time to time. He does his best to hide this side of him with his gentlecat demener, but this is vain on his side and usually fails when nobody is around. He finds himself secretly enjoying things he would only scold others for and does enjoy being young and foolish every once in awhile like younger cats usually do.

He also can be said to be very strong in his nature, and does not easily succumb to pressure that others or things instill on him. He trudges through anything that gets thrown at him and sees quitting as a bad way out of dealing with life. He usually looks down upon those that quit easily, and keeps himself high on his heels through times of trouble for himself or his clan. In this he does stand higher than he usually does when he's not under pressure or stress, and will become even stronger when he is put into the situations that threaten to drag his spirits down.

During his younger days, he was a rambunctious, cruel tomcat that often would brawl and beat up his opponents without much mercy, and mostly he acted on his own accord, earning him the name 'black sheep of WinterClan'. Because of this, despite his statement saying he has changed, he can be dangerous at times because of his cynical ways of things, and because of this, he often will go to far reaches for things he wants or yearns for, even if they do seem against rules or are violent. He can be described as increasingly cruel to his victims when he wants something from them, or if they reach one of his grudge points. He tends to manipulate his situations and turn them on others if he can pull a sly choice and turn his problem into a solution to get rid of his rival. He tends to hold grudges for long period of times, and often treats them worse then the regular stranger, and will go to great points to exact revenge on them and pull his grudge longer, which tends to happen with his rivals like Frostrose because of their long standing rivalry, although he seems to have some moral and care for even his most hated enemies. He likes to jump into fights or brawls just to beat up his rival if they are on the opposing side, if not he doesn't jump in.

He is seen to be a very powerful cat at heart with a stubborn and strong-willed personality that does not easily fall to stress or pain. He could stand tall and strike orders from even the most stressful moments, and he does not easily face defeat in the worst of odds, which seems to be his specialty. He also doesn't fall easily to pressure either, he doesn't seem to mind threats or possibilities. He does not seem to see odds as a definite point of lose, which gave the tom great rise in some times. He also shows to be greatly mature and appropriate in his decisions, often seen scolding Eaglestorm or Frostrose if they act up or if they don't take things seriously. He rides of a strict course, and doesn't easily flinch from challenges. His courage his amazingly great, being he doesn't seem to fear much of anything, although he does seem to have a few weak points including the thought of others leaving him, as this seemed to have become a paranoia to him. He seems to secretly enjoy war and dominating as much as possible, being that he likes to be the 'top dog' of everyone else at any given chance he can prove this so.

Jaystar, going back on his vicious nature, is quite alike this. He can be violent and tends to beat up his rivals or those he doesn't like when he gets angry. Resorting to violence, despite not being too serious most of the time, is a typical thing of his that hasn't changed since he was younger. These brawls are usually fought between him and Frostrose and turn physical often. Even though his fights have become very violent and have resulted in the death of cats, he doesn't usually initially mean to kill cats but does go far when fighting, feeling like winning involves injuring the enemy beyond what is expected.

The inside violence towards others tends to come from Jaystar's large ambition. This could be called a good and bad thing, but his ambition tends to cause more damage than anything else. He once held large amounts of territory just outside of WinterClan when it's camp was close to the borders, and wanted it due to always escaping the clan for periods of time and wanting some of his own land, which lead to a growth overtime and a lot of fights with loners, resulting in him slaughtering many cats.

This violence is not only fueled by his ambition but also his large jealousy. He tends to be jealous and when he sees others with things he does not have or cannot reach, he becomes angered and thinks of ways to ruin it. If his rival were to have more power or something he does not, he can instantly become ambitious for it and even resort to obscene ways of acquiring it.

Jaystar is also said to be a very authoritive cat and because he is ambitious and somewhat power-hungry at times, he does make a good cat within a high position such as leader or deputy. When he reaches the position he desires, he usually does not abuse the power he has, but embraces it and makes the changes he wants to make when he gets there. He can go far when within a high position, but because of his change from his violent nature to his more chilled out older himself, he does not seem to desire power as much as he used to and when he does get picked for something, he will accept it with honor rather than ambition which used to rule his thoughts when he was younger.

He seems to be a rather fanciful cat, as he does show to be interested in the occult and supernatural things such as StarClan or the Dark Forest. He seems to see things other don't, and often calls them his 'buddies', which most other cats call him weird for it. He likes to talk to these imaginary beings rather then be with other cats, and he does seem to result to going to other creatures rather then others of his own kind, and because of his strong belief in his fantasy friends that no one else can see he can be sepearated from others a lot of the time.

Jaystar tends to be 'spacey' with others around him because of his visulisation of these mythical creatures, and he feels confident they are there and that he is not crazy. Despite this, he tends to be skeptical of when others tell him of the things they seen, and his skepticism comes with his cynitism. He won't believe anyone off the bat if they say they see something, and demands evidence for such things. But even then he doesn't seem to believe in the things, adding to his obstanite behavior that he usually does not change his opinion very easily.

He is noted for also being quite creative with things around him and invested in them as well. He also has sharp-wits, which adds to his sharpness towards the world around him and makes him quite vigulent towards things around him. Even though he has this, he tends to have bad luck most of the time and it weights heavily on him most of the time.

Jaystar is said to be a rather lonely and introverted typed cat, preferring to work alone then with others. He doesn't seem to be bothered by his own seclusion from others, and always seems to have an excuse or objection for those whom comment on his own habits or loneliness. Although, his own paranoia of being left, he does seem to like to be around those he trusts and finds friendship in, which is a very select few. He is very distant with other cats, and does seclude himself at most moments and doesn't like to go other places on a normal basis other then business reasons. Because of these reasons, this leads to others to misjudge him due to the fact he often cannot express himself in the right ways most do.

Jaystar is a strong tsundere-based cat that is very self-deprecating on himself. He can be judgmental of himself and doesn't seem to value his own greatness and power. His tsundere personality, which means he appears to be cold before opening up his true feelings later on, has been proven many times over, despite his harsh nature, with other fellow cats, and his true feelings for others is sometimes even easily brought up, but never easily saw by the other cat the feelings are directed to. He seems to like giving other cats advice and tips for doing better or feeling better at the bad moments, although he most likely will claim afterwards that he 'doesn't do it because he's worried for them'. Even though he may suffer from self-judgement, he does seem to have high pride in his clan, and his own loyalty doesn't waiver easily, as he would go to far reaches for the clan, in good or bad ways, which makes him come off as very arrogant about it. He also seems to be self-less at times, and even though denying ever doing something for the benefit of someone else, will do great things for the others benefit only.

Jaystar also seems to have a high tendency to get very high on catmint despite sniffing or licking a very small amount, and in this time he becomes very nostalgic and admitted of his feelings, and his hidden hurt, which is ranked to be high, is always blurted out by him and expressed with great emotion by him, which is seen to be very strange considering he keeps his feelings hidden well on a normal basis because of his tsundereness. He seems to be in very little control of what he does end up blurting out and he seems to speak everything of his mind while in this time. After these episodes, which is usually after he wakes up after passing out, he will usually deny anything he may have blurted out and move on from it, hoping nobody would have caught onto it. Despite his realistic view on the world, sometimes he can be described to be a rather strong romanticist while tired.

Jaystar is known to be secretly perverted in his own ways, and is very knowledgeable in love despite not seemingly looking like it. He has been called out for such things by Frostrose usually, and despite calling him a worse one, he does have a knack for that type of stuff, which can make him kinky. He never lets this out though, and keeps it to himself mostly because it would ruin his pride as well as reputation as a gentlecat. Even though he does show his own 'kinky' nature, he is a very loveable cat that does enjoy relationships when it does come about. He becomes remarkably softer when he is with someone he loves, and usually becomes easy going and loses a lot of his cynical and sarcastic behavior for the sake of his significant other, like Snakestorm, whom he loves very dearly and embraces that.

He is seemingly also very protective of his love interests, showing his large courage he happens to have. He can be clingy at times, but this is very rare and he usually is more suited towards being alone then badgering his significant other, but if he feels like it enough he will. He also has a high jealousy, which shows in many other ways other than his love interests, and will become more offended than most cats over small things once in awhile. But overall Jaystorm is mostly chill with relationships and the jealousy factor and it usually doesn't come out within this category. He also heavily relies on his love interest, and usually holds enormous amounts of trust and respect towards them, making a problem such as lying even more devastating in relationships he is in.

Abilities

Jaystar has a few skills he possesses, his most notable being his fighting ability. He can be called 'one of the best and most vicious fighters of the clan' due to his constant training in the Dark Forest since early apprenticeship. His fighting techniques are strong indeed, but can be dark to cats unfamiliar with the style. His fighting skills are rarely outmatched, but he doesn't use techniques that correspond with brute strength, but rather stealthy take-down and maneuvers that help him avoid, dodge, and attack when seeing an opening. His fighting skills can become out of hand when fighting another opponent, as it often leads to serious injury or the death of his opponent when he takes things too far, as he usually does. Due to his size and stature, he can appear to be not much of a challenge to opposing cats, but he uses this to his advantage, often stunning the other cat with quick maneuverability before finally taking them down.

Jaystar also, because of his sleek size, is also a good hunter among other things. He struggles a bit because of his low athletic ability, but he makes up for it with speed and intelligence. His particular methods are something he makes up himself instead of learning them, but they prove to work for him and benefit him in more ways then one.

Jaystar seems to be alright at tree climbing, although he wouldn't admit defeat if being pushed even if he did get scared or tired. His swimming skill, although, is extremely poor and due to this, he will instantly start to drown if he couldn't touch the floor. He doesn't admit this though, but it's pretty obvious since he mostly avoids touching water in general despite spending much time isolated by water.
